Neighborhood Bible Time Registration Information
Welcome to Neighborhood Bible Time!
What is Neighborhood Bible Time?
Neighborhood Bible Time (NBT) is an action-packed program designed to promote God, country, and family. NBT trained evangelists (usually young men studying at bible college) partner with Westgate Baptist Church to lead rallies specifically designed for each age group in attendance. At these rallies, relevant messages from God’s Word, singing, activities, and a variety of high-energy games coupled with many easy-to-earn prizes characterize the daily schedule.
Who can attend NBT?
NBT offers programs for students ages four through grade twelve. Rallies are specifically tailored for the age group of the children and teens in attendance. NBT children in preschool through grade six are affectionately called “Boosters.” Students in grades seven and eight are referred to as “Day Teens,” and teens in grades nine through twelve are often referred to as “In Teens.”
What is NBT like?
Preschool: Ages 4-5.
The preschool program has dedicated teachers and a large activity room decorated according to each year’s theme. During their time at NBT, boosters complete coloring pages, receive ribbons, work on memory verses, hear and learn exciting Bible and missionary stories, as well as receive a light snack.
Primaries: Grades 1-3.
After registration, the boosters in the primary grades will start their morning in the rally! The rally, led by an NBT evangelist, consists of exciting stories, illustrations through illusions, singing, and a fun, friendly competition between the “Mighty Men” and the “Wonderful Women.” Boosters love rally time! After rally time, the boosters will enjoy a light snack and then head to grade specific classrooms where they learn a Bible lesson and hear a missionary story.
Juniors: Grades 4-6.
After registration, juniors will follow their teachers to the classroom. At the classroom, boosters will hear a Bible lesson and a missionary story. They also receive a variety of gifts and can earn prizes throughout the week. After class time, they will enjoy a light snack after which they will head to rally time led by the NBT evangelist. Like with the primaries, the rally time is filled with exciting stories, illustrations, and an awesome competition between the “Mighty Men” and the “Wonderful Women”!
Day Teens: Grades 7-8.
Led by a dedicated NBT evangelist, the Day Teens are divided into two teams, the Alphas and Omegas. These two teams will compete against each other throughout the week. Relevant and challenging messages from God’s Word are heard daily. A daily barrage of intense games set to themes comprise the Day Teen rallies. Themes are centered around big ball games, a water rally, Destination Unknown, field games, and more! Day Teens can earn big points for their team by completing certain tasks explained at the rally.
In Teens: Grades 9-12.
Meeting each evening, the In Teens are also divided into teams who compete against each other all week. In Teens enjoy intense, competitive games also utilizing big ball equipment, field games, tube tug, and more! Each evening, the rally is characterized by themes such as Destination Unknown and Water Night. The teens also enjoy great food including nachos and all-you-can-eat pizza, and the teens are challenged daily by a message from God’s Word. In Teens can also complete tasks to earn points for their team.
NBT culminates in a special Friday Night Program at 7:00 p.m. on the last day of NBT. At this program, parents are invited to catch a glimpse of what the children enjoyed throughout the week of NBT. Many boosters will be honored during this time. In addition, the winning teams from the Day Teen and In Teen rallies will be announced.
How much is NBT?
NBT is free! Westgate Baptist Church is covering the costs associated with hosting NBT. To help offset costs, the boosters and teens may voluntarily participate in a “penny-offering.” These daily offerings are presented as a fun game during the rallies.
